History

In 1977 Andy’s parents, Leland and Alice Diehl, moved their family to a beautiful farmstead in Viroqua, Wisconsin.  Nestled in the rolling hills of Vernon county’s driftless area, this farm provided the perfect mix of pasture and crop land for them to raise their family on a livestock and grain farm.  Similar to how they had both been raised on their family farms.

Andy has always been engaged in farming activities with his parents and has had his own livestock on the farm since the 1980’s.  In 2003 Andy began to rent some ground back from his parents which grew his experience in directly managing the farmland.

In 2009, Andy and Renae purchased a portion of the farm and moved back into the farmhouse Andy grew up in.  At that time they further established their small cow/calf heard. In 2010 chickens were added to the farm and pigs in 2012.

In 2016 our interest in honeybees led us to purchase a couple hives.  We are now able to provide customers with some wonderful tasting honey.

Andy and Renae now focus (along with their four daughters) on raising high quality meat through sustainable practices.
